[Typo3] Time zone extension

The time zone extension isn't giving me another time zone. According to 
http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/de_timezone/Introduction-618fce54ea/is
should just insert it somewhere (I inserted it at the top page in my
site) and it should be recognized. 

Not so, I still get a diff of 1 day and 7 hours (the server is in the US).
Should I do something more?
