[Typo3] format layout Document Directorys extension

Hi guys,

I'm not hero with TS, so i'm kinda stuck with this extension 'Document 
Directorys' I'm trying out. As you might know this extensions i wonder if 
you could assist me on this. The extension comes with more then one 'items' 
to be selected for FE rendering (as in doctitle, author, longdesc, 
wordcount, ect..). At default each of these items is placed in a separete 
column, so when I include more of these items I get a table contaning a lot 
of the items, causing the table to 'break out' of my set table width.

In other words what is does is:

!!SPECIAL IMAGE|doctitle|author|longdesc|wordcount|THE ACTION LINKS|

what i want is to add a row for some of the items, basicly i just want to 
chane the layout to my needs, for instance:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
!!SPECIAL IMAGE|doctitle|THE ACTION LINKS|
author|longdesc|wordcount|
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How would I do that, or could somebody share his TS code, so I can modify 
it. (or give me other tips on howto make an template for this extension
