The update to the database is now done automatically by the extension 
manager on every install.

The message will be made more explanatory. The script needs to be 
executed only if some language packs are installed in which case it will 
re-apply the database updates provided by the language packs (but only 
for language packs of the new format of version 6+).

You do not need to bother. The data is always imported. But you do need 
to run the update script on every install or upgrade.
