[TYPO3-dev] about new Form sysext

The new form ext is a bit of a riddle to me. What was the reason for 
reprogramming the form ext? Moving to extbase & fluid? OK. But why is it 
still imcomplete and very buggy? It IS a core ext, isn't it?

Another post metions that refactoring is planned, but didn't make it to 
4.7. Somebody else mentions - very correctly - that it should be 
backported to 4.5 being a LTS ... but that does not seem to be in the 
interest of the core team, is it?

I would love to read some explanation about this topic, because I think 
the basic functionality that this ext brings with it, is awesome. It 
could very well be a serious "competitor" to powermail. - And I would 
really like to know, why there is nothing done to make it work properly 
in 4.5...

(Please be so kind NOT to say I am welcome to co-develop it... I am not 
a programmer, but I try the ext, post bugs at forge, vote and already 
posted some things here on the various lists. That's about it what I can 
do.)
