Half a year ago I did a small personal project using Zend Framework. At
that time I read various archives and found that statement from ZF users.
Then I went to the 1st international ZF conference this April and heard it
again, now from people, who host very large projects and tried to optimize
their sites.
Since I did not plan to use PDO or did not foresee this discussion, I did
not save any links. However I remember this information, therefore I made a
statement. It came from two separate sources, which makes it somewhat trustful.
I do not have any benchmarks under hand. This is true. I only heard it from
people who tried in in the field.
