[TYPO3-dev] Hook into class.t3lib.parsehtml_proc

Hi there!

For automatic image captions I am doing now a hack of the above 
mentioned file - directly in it.

Basically, if there are images in the RTE, I am transforming them into 
the DB with a div around them and the title-tag as image caption. And 
vice versa, I remove the div tag.

So, now to my questions:

1.) can I somehow hook into this, so that I don't have to edit the file 
directly?
2.) i would rather like to do it on the output of the text then the 
tranformation from the rte. Can I find a functions somewhere that can do 
this.
3.) or even better would be if I could code an extension, which hooks 
into every text-output in typo and modifies it to my wishes.

Can you give me any hint for any of this points?
