That sounds interesting indeed. If we start a new plugin base or general library
  we also should think about a model-view-controller model at the same time. Not
obligatory because it may be overdressed for smaller extensions, but as a
possibilty. pi_base is a very bad base for a MVC architecture.

You find a model-view-controller framework in the TER: eim2mvc from Achim
Eichhorn. Maybe we could bring some experiences together.

Let's see, if we hear again of Luc and his offer support a GENERAL library.
