To conclude: Why do you only try to prevent the introduction of a feature
which will be good for all of us or at least won't have any disadvantages?

Why do you always ask for arguments for doing it, how about arguments from
your side for not doing it?

One of your points I liked was that the customers will have to pay. They
will have to anyway as this update is no regular update at all. If you
don't want their money - no problem, send them over to me or anybody else
supporting the idea of removing symlinks.

So all in all everything will work as it did before. I don't get it -
what's your real point???
