Actually it gets better after a while but there are still many things
that i just dont know. Knowledgs and possibilities of typo3 are vastly
spread over the net and i always made things for my own projects or
"low-budget" projects so i never intended to be a typo3 expert who gets
paid for programming. so i didnt print out the docs or got a book to get
the "big picture" yet. On the other hand even the nice be is still too
"unintuitive" for many purposes, especially low or non-profit things
where people dont want to waste time understanding things - thats not
typo3s fault but has to do with the fact that most things are paied or
very narrowed down to what is demanded.

you could know by expirience for example - if something works and doesnt
limit the possibilities of the goal it might be the best way to go. for
example i am still confused by the "open docs" drop down in the be since
i just never need to use it and also don´t really know what happens if i
choose a doc there (will my currently open doc be saved or not?) - just
as a very small example for "too many ways" to my opinion.
I also know many sites that have be editors that actually use a highly
customized fe just to make the workflow as easy as possible. i once
tried to teach someone the be over the internet - they where always
complaining its too difficult ;)

i am in - maybe the usability/ease-of-use efforts should be seen in
terms of "intuitivity" in a more general way. Or how about merging be
and fe completly with "profiles" for admins, editors, visitors etc..? :)
