[Typo3-dev] image manipulation in be

Hi there,

is there a way to manipulate images in the backend? In the frontend you 
could of cause use a own cObj to utilize TS and stuff but in the 
backend I couldn't create one (or used the wrong classes).

What I want to do is to resize an uploaded image to 150 pixel within a 
BE-Module. Alternatively I could imagine resizing directly after 
uploading the image.

Has anybody done this before or is there an easy way to achive it?
