[Typo3-dev] Usermanagement improvement for managing contents possible?

Exactly the same for me. 
For me this is one big drawback of Typo3.
I am really looking forward for a concept limiting the available content types per User/Group.
Just starting to look behind the scenes of Typo3, by now I cannot say if this is possible with an extension. If not, I hope someone on this list can tell us if this feature will be implemented in future versions.
