Ok - one example: among my clients there is a newspaper (sadly, Typo3 is 
not involved there), where we try and connect the paper edition with the 
online edition as much as possible. Imagine how much slicker 
http://20min.ch/sport looks on print than http://20min.ch/123.0.html 
would do. It's most probably easier for somebody not 100% computer 
literate to remember the first one than the second on their way home 
after reading something interesting on the train.

Then again, there's no point in flogging this old horse. The point's 
been made :-D

But to round it off - look at this one: 
http:///www.chelsea-cloisters.co.uk/ Nothing wrong with that one, but 
click on the British flag and then imagine writing that URL down on a 
piece of paper. Or just imagine typing it in at all. It could always be 
worse ;-)
