[TYPO3-debian] Import/Export MySQL und Typo3-DB

Hello,
I had different versions MySQL-Installations of localhost.
One version is the MySQL version 3.23.52
One version is the MySQL version 5.0.41.
If I try to import Dates from the older version into tables to the newer 
MySQL-DB version.

I use the linuxcommand 
#cat  xxxx.sql | mysql -ppasswort dbname 

Not all the dates would be importet. 
Have you an idea what the cause can be.
 
Is this necessary we only can transfere beetween  similar 
MySQL-DB-versions?
