[TYPO3-windows] Lots of mysql errors at install step 1

HI

Im trying to install typo3 on apache2, mysql 5, php5 on windows xp.

At install step one I get these messages:

Warning: mysql_pconnect() [function.mysql-pconnect]: Access denied for 
user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in C:\Programmer\Apache 
Group\Apache2\htdocs\typo3test\typo3\t3lib\class.t3lib_db.php on line 831

Warning: mysql_list_tables(): supplied argument is not a valid 
MySQL-Link resource in C:\Programmer\Apache 
Group\Apache2\htdocs\typo3test\typo3\t3lib\class.t3lib_db.php on line 892


What causes this...I can add that I can run phpMyAdmin without any problems.

And by the way, how do I setup apache to automatically run index.php 
files, I have to type them in manually or it will just list my files in 
the given directory.
