[TYPO3-workspace] Exclude field

Hi,

we are searching for a way to exclude a certain (page) field when a page gets published.

Our situation:

- We use direct_mail to weekly send a newsletter. This is every time the same "page" with dynamic content.
- Normal editors only have the rights to change the title of a newsletter in a workspace
- The superviser publish this change to live

Normally this works fine. But when a editor creates a new version in his workspace before the news letter is send. And the supervisor publish the change after the mail is send. The "last mail send"  timestamp is also published (in this case reverted) and the mail gets send again.

So my question. Is there a setting to exclude a certain field from the whole workspace/versioning stuff so it doesn't get wrongly updated? Or maybe there is an other solution to prevent this fault?
