I really like the right column with the RSS feeds. I'd put the RSS,
mailing list and documentation links at the end of each section, though,
together with the "Show all..." link - all left aligned.
The wider left column is too restless in my opinion. I have the
impression that it is a little bit too crowded at the moment. Maybe it
would help if the thumbnails float to the right so that the headings are
all equally left aligned (maybe even remove all thumbnails). I also see
no reason to repeat the heading as a "Read: ..." link at the end of each
news entry. Either the heading can be a link or a simple "Read more ..."
link would do. Less is more. The teaser text is too long in my opinion.
Also we need some space at the top after the introductary text for the
different banners that are regularly changing, i.e. maintenance release,
T3HEARTS, 4.1 development, etc.
This again would allow the teaser texts to be shorter and still make the
left column long enough to go down until the last block of the right RSS
feed column.

Just my 2 cents ;-)
