Hi all!

I'm beginning to develop extension for typo3 and interested in some of the questions.
What method should I choose for development?
It seems that the development based on the div/lib is more preferable than the traditional pibase method, but I was confused state alpha of this extension.
What is current situation with div/lib, is someone develops extensions based it?
Can I use it to develop a serious extension? 
Are there any alternative libraries for development?
