I've twice tried to set the rtp_smarty extension to obsolete and w/o 
success. Specifically I set the status in the ext_emconf file to 
obsolete, but clearly this isn't doing anything. Could someone help me 
out here? the rtp_ version of the extension is just counfusing people.
