I guess this is where the ECT need to get more involved in these
projects. Gathering interest is not always as simple as it sounds. I
hope I can do something about that.

I really think we can be a bit more creative in sparking interest. There
are already many developers out there doing these things. We just need
to bring them together.

Christoph, would you or any of the guys at WEC be interested in becoming
a buzz.typo3.org blogger on how the project progresses? We could also
announce a rebirth as a news article to spark some interest. And maybe
even sponsorship  :-)

Is there anybody going to T3DD08 that could pull Kasper aside for some
airtime that might make a good podcast?

Whatever methods are used, they probably should become standard for all
ECT projects. If ECT projects are put in the TYPO3 spotlight, they have
much more chance of reaching their full potential.

We need to take more advantage of both the ECT's official stature and
TYPO3's worldwide popularity. Maybe we should start by listing the
typo3.org outlets we have available and start the ball rolling.

* TYPO3 Buzz Blogs - weekly?
* TYPO3 News Articles - monthly?
* TYPO3 Podcast - 1-3 monthly?
* TYPO3 Support sites
* ECT Project talks at TYPO3 events/usergroups/booths?
* TYPO3 Facebook, OpenSocial[1], Dev site projects/apps/groups?

All these could possibly include sponsorship opportunities. I wonder how
the stats are looking for these channels. I bet these pages get a lot of
eyes on them.

Does TYPO3 still have a marketing team that we could bring into this
discussion?

If there are any other key ECT projects that aren't getting the
attention they require please let me know.

Cheers,
David
