And my personal experience says that I do not judge the skills of a 
developer by his editor. (or OS, CPU, gender, age,...)
(I don't even think Mac users are gay but that is something different. :)

Maybe you are right but eclipse has no general problems with stability.

...and they make better coffee, too. :-)

Wake up. It's just a matter of taste and productivity. The learning 
curve of vim is probably flatter than the one of other editors/IDEs but 
by time you gain productivity.
Although some people (like me) do like eclipse more for several reasons 
(for example I am used to from java development) but there are not less 
skilled or whatever.
