BE config would be nice, but not really needed. Also, how to account  
for extensions coming and going?

Drag and drop would be nice, but ignore for now. Actually, how about  
something like the page tree does it now?

Examples:
If a page has cat A selected in header, how does page content know to  
grab only cat A content?
How can I get a list of cat A related items?
