Yes, the smarty extension lets you use Smarty as the templating engine 
for the lib/div framework (works with the pi_base framework as well). 
Until now it's been rtp_smarty, but I don't see why it couldn't be 
lib_smarty. Would that be better for all concerned? And how would I 
change the extension key?
