Hi Daniel,

that's great. 

We can "rename" bypear. I discoverd yesterday that the extension key "pear"
was available again by some unknown magic. I quickly registered it. I need
your username to transfer it to you. Is it also EscapedPrisoner?

I guess bypear will need some face lifting, as it is over 2 years since the
last update. So IMHO "renaming" means

 * download of bypear
 * renaming to pear
 * modernization
 * optionally: import to Sourceforge SVN
 * upload to TER

Did you find Ernestos posting with his proposal where to create a central
pear folder?
