Yes i got that, this could be solved with the approach i discribed in the wiki. But as mentioned before this is just a poor first idea. And it seems as elmar already thought about it in a more elaborate  manner.
Elmar, could you add your approach of extensibillity to the wiki (PEC etc) to bring
us all to the same level of "knowledge" without knowing every post on this list? ;).

One thing: it is not only the controller which needs to be extendable the same applies to models and views.
E.g.: an extension for lets say tt_news could need to add a new db field/table association.


BTW: what do you guys think about a small "get-together" to discuss this issues vice a vice?
