Also a resultbrowser is still missing. 

The limit of the possibilities is there, where the tags whould belong into
a dedicated forms library. That should be an external extension and
another project.

If possible add your function into the SF repository. The more people
help, the quicker we have a full featured MVC running for TYPO3. I claim
the right to moderate the additions, specially to do renamings of
functions to keep a unique style. But that shouldn't be a hindrance I
think.
