Hi, thank you for your reply Ries.

Yes I know the JEdit Plug-In and the SweeTS editor, which is a Plug-In
for PSPad. While the former allows remote access to TypoScript
configurations without TS syntax highlighting, the latter offers good
syntax highlightning and help but only on "local" TS files.
Combining both features would be the best solution.

Good, perhaps I should try to make it generic to allow easy adaptation
to other systems and the future evolution of TYPO3.

No, I think such a Plug-In is geared towards developers and
administrators of TYPO3, and I think most of them will be able to use
Eclipse. Although it really requires some time at first, but it's worth
the work. Nevertheless, the existing solutions PSPad/JEdit are somewhat
easier to handle - no need to create another standalone/easy tool.

Good to hear, I like the idea more and more myself. It will be an
interesting project - but I will have to wait if it gets approved by the
university (and if I would be able to release it, without it would be
wasted work).
