I also like Christian's approach. I had a similar "problem" some weeks
ago. And I did search in TER, Google whatever - but I used other search
words for it. So the categories or tags an extension has, should only be
selectable from a given list - noone should be able to write his own tags.

An example:
You try to create another guestbook extension, and you do not search for
"guestbook" on the TER, but you search vor "visitorsbook" or "visitors
book". You get no results from the TER and "hey cool, the first one to
solve a guestbook problem on TYPO3".

So oftern a common vocabulary is the problem, we give the same problem
different names. Possibly a thesaurus could help here. So this thing
knows that "guestbook" is the same as "visitors book" and could show
additional or related results.
