[TYPO3-ect] [TYPO3ext commerce] Next steps?

Hello!

What about kb_shop?

I just thought it's funny as well as another "well planed" coordination example... At t3dd, both extensions were shown to the public. 

Is there any communication between those parties, and if not, are they willing to join forces? What are the benefits of either one of them?

Hi guys,

Now that the long awaited commerce extension has been released to the community, I thought it would be a good time to add it to maybe get it into TYPO3xdev, create a newsgroup and get it into the bug tracker.

Do you guys think it requires its own newsgroup or will tt_products do?
I would assume a new newsgroup would be the way to go.

Regarding commerce development, there have been a number of unique features built into the commerce extension which could become more generic. I would like to see product categories contributing to Elmar's up and coming global category framework. I also look forward to having more generic product articles.

I have been in contact with Thomas regarding some of these issues and am hoping we can all have some input.
