I started to write a digest report of the results of ECT every few
weeks. I also send it to the R&D team. But that is in information not a
discussion. It is also not the nature of the R&D to discuss every detail.

So how could this discussions you propose be done? A discussion only
works if the relevant people are present and if there is a leader of the
discussion. I fear it is difficult to achieve this both.

However we turn it, it any communication depends on the good will of the
core developers. A peer person on side of the core developers could be a
solution.
