If an implementation based on the current code in HEAD allows for 
multi-attributes in a general it may have chances to get into the Core. 
The implementation has to be working (surprise), must be backwards 
compatible and must follow the coding guidelines.

I guess that Sebastian  decided against implement because he thought he 
won't have the time to do all the necessary changes for it, so he had to 
settle form bidi-mm alone.
