[TYPO3-ect] resultbrowser

Hello ECTs,

the build in resultbrowser for resultlists is difficult to configure,
sparely documentated and still not optimised in functionality.

Is there a plan or solution to improve this?
Is there something like a resultbrowser service?
Did somebody program a resultbrowser class that could be added to ECT
libraries?
