Oh yeah.

pi_base is less then optimal. I suggest we forget it at all and start with 
a new sensible set of classes.

Don't think so. We need a reasonable way to do proper form handling. If we 
have that we can get any user registration we like.

Facelifting probably results in a compeletly new UI. Starting from scratch 
is time consuming. Maybe large parts of the internals can be salvaged to go 
with a new extension.
