I am happy to provide a simple bash script that updates all *.php files 
in a directory and replaces the copyright headers with the content of a 
file:

I don't know if this is of any use but it works perfectly fine under 
Ubuntu/Debian Linux.

The new header can be defined in file "copyright-php-files.txt".
