Some ideas form my point of view as a TYPO3 integrator:

Forms (for frontend) is much better then the older version but it lacks some realliy important features:
- captcha
- and/or other spam protection tools
- saving data in tables
without any spam protection it is nearly not usable - i try it sometimes for a new client but a few weeks (or month) later i have to change it to one of the form extensions simply because my client gets to much spam.

The backend of TYPO3 becomes much better in the last years, especially the page tree becomes really usable. But there is much more work to do:

Dont hide the icons and show them only by rollover. It looks quite nice, but it is bad usabilty. Many buttons are too tiny - they are too difficult to aim especially with touch screens. The elements should be greater and the space between smaller.

Sortable lists in file and list module (content managers should be able to sort the listings on there own, with the possibilty to choose the direction - a to z and vice versa). In general better search in list module and the possibility to filter and save individual sortings and filters per page. Better management of really large lists with hundreds or even thousends of entries.

Easier Copy&Paste of CEs from between pages in page modul (own icons like grid elements)

The backend should be usable with tablets. No need for smartphones but tablets should work.
