After that, the base directory *should* be write protected. Thus the install 
tool checks need to be context aware.


Additionally, you are required to use typo3_src. While this might be needed 
for the core updater, you can always link typo3 and index.php directly to 
the core location.
I even consider adding typo3_src bad practice, because you likely leak 
unnecessary information (TYPO3 minor version) that are harder to get if you 
don't do not have a typo3_src around.
