sorry for being unclear.
I don't expected backports to any version earlier than 6.1
so 6.1 could be a solid start up for the coming 6.2. and "smooth 
migration" should be a minimum, capable for everyone so that there 
should be no one left with 6.1

for projects planned to start in december with a stable 6.2 a pimped 6.1 
could be a good replacement.
maybe otherwise some new projects would start with 4.5 ?
