jMeter works fine for this.

The bigger problem might be to deal with states-of-mind.
See, I am very sure every single one who put some code into the current system that slowed it down was aware of that.
We need to change the "well... 3% won't matter" attitude.

So you can jMeter all you want, as long as people will just keep adding new things, telling themselves "we make that faster later" but forget to do just this.

Any idea how to achieve this?
