Just to correct the numbers:

There also have been free supports not connected to any reward.
And lots of smaller rewards not connected to certain features.

Some of the people that made the free supports still asked for certain 
features though i.e. "possibility to connect other templating engines 
(smarty)", which is closely related to "fluid friendly rendering", or 
"make as many features as possible available for TYPO3 4.5.x", which was 
our goal anyway.

Hope that clarified the task list a bit.
