I guess this has been discussed through other ways already, but I would
also like to know some more background on this "30% performance" impact.

Olly made a remark "but the "bad impact" was not that bad as expected" -
so he might elaborate what is not "that bad" in 30% performance loss?

After all "simple" fully cached pages are not that uncommon and the
usual use-case of them is a "very simple site" which renders "almost as
fast as static html pages" - would be indeed a shame to see a
performance drop in those use-cases after the 6.1 upgrade.

Maybe there are plans to continue exploring that area before 6.1 release
so that fully cached pages get again up-to-speed, but if this is the
case, please communicate about it.
