Well, they are. The API for 4.7.4 shows "namespaces", which come from those annotations AFAIK.

For 6.0 they are useless, as we have real namespaces, grouping way better anyway. We dropped those annotations in the FLOW3 sources back when we started using namespaces and never looked back :)
