I don't think we'll have many 6.x releases. Now that <some-new-name> 
starts to be a reality the transition path becomes accelerated. In 6.0 
we introduced namespaces for example. In one of the future releases 
there will be more development which is shared between CMS and 
<some-new-name>. If these features have enough impact there should be 
another major version released.

Imagine the release where the compatibility layer for namespaces is 
removed, along with all the old classes. That would be a candidate for a 
major version number!
