Hi,
I did not have time to look at in detail.
We have CachingFramework improvements on our agenda for 4.7. Not the 
stuff that I wished which should have been included did get in, but at 
least the stuff you did.

Therefore I'm fine with Hooks, they do not really hurt, and complete the 
featureset.
About the stdWrap addition I need to have deeper look first.
