BTW there's another problem, it's the change of version numbering. 
Searching for "4.8" in the 4.7 source code comes up with 186 
occurrences, most of which are related to deprecations. For "4.9", there 
are 45 hits, about half of which are about deprecated methods.

Shouldn't these messages be updated to mention "6.0" and "6.1" 
respectively? It's not a huge issue, but it might help alleviate some 
confusion.
