[TYPO3-core] Images in locallang / csh and their "translations"

Hi,

In many places there are images (mostly screenshots) in locallang and 
csh files. It would be nice to be able to provide images for a specific 
language (the people who need the images certainly need them to be in 
their language).

The images are often referred to by expressions such as:
EXT:cms/cshimages/pagemodule_5.png

Is it possible to distribute images for a certain language? How is this 
supported in the current workflow with pootle -> translation server -> 
EM? What is the path to the image? 
(typo3conf/l10n/<lang>/cms/cshimages/pagemodule_5.png?)
