Hey,

committed the two attached patches for TCEmain and the version extension
to trunk only after careful reviews of Tolleiv Nietsch and me.

Revisions: 9102, 9103

Trunk only should suffice here.

There is one more hunk related to the history functionality of TCEmain,
which I didn't commit, but opened up a new BT entry + patch for it.
