Hi Lars,

i can confirm the wrong behaviour - passwords shouldn't never displayed.

But i would tend to another solution to fix it. I would supress all 
fields with type password completely. As soon you have custom 
tables/fields and add new fields type password you have the same problem 
again.

So imho the best solution is to look to the type of the field and if 
type=password then don't display it ever.
