Just a short note:

The subpages flag indicates that the parent page has "include subpages"
set and therefore the user restrictions have an impact for the subpages,
too. This is something the "+" sign just can't convey and I think it's
pretty important to see that (as you can't see it anywhere else, only if
you edit the parent page where the flag is set)...
