Hey Georg,

attached is a v2 patch that also does some basic CGL reformatting.

+1 after reading and testing.

Committed to trunk (rev. 7047).

I took the liberty and only committed this to trunk, as in my eyes this 
is just a cleanup and not a "real" bug. If there's a really good reason 
to bring this in 4.3 or 4.2, then speak up :)
