Yes, that's exactly what I did, which seems a fairly common scenario (at 
least as far as I'm concerned).

Your explanation sounds reasonable to me and the patch certainly does 
what it supposed to. Thus +1 after reading and testing v2.

@Steffen Kamper: this touches on code that you introduced. Would be take 
a look at the proposed patch too, please? You may be better able than me 
to judge the correction.
