sorry, I just have to jump into that discussion. As I just needed 
exactly that popup information (huge pagetree with a couple of 
templates) and was glad to have that information displayed I'd like to 
keep that information.

But maybe it is easier to just display the references-count (fast) and 
make the number link to a page/Ext window/popup which then displays the 
reference information...
